Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior
Presented by Lynda Janet, Gerontologist and Volunteer Community Educator with the Alzheimer’s Association
Tuesday, October 15

2480 Waterside Drive
Frederick, MD 21701
Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.
Our presenter, Lynda Janet, is a Gerontologist with a BS in Gerontology, and a Certified Dementia Practitioner with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. She has managed and designed memory care units in assisted living and nursing facilities, as well as provided private consulting. She actively volunteers with the Greater Maryland Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association in the areas of program facilitation, community outreach and advocacy.
Seating is Limited. Reservation Required. To RSVP, please complete the form below or call (240) 656-6111.
