SageLife Communities Celebrate STEM with Rube Goldberg Challenge

SPRINGFIELD, PA
MARCH 1, 2023 — SageLife residents recently participated in a community-wide competition in which the challenge was to create Rube Goldberg Machines out of everyday household items. The purpose of the machines is to showcase a simple task performed in an overly complicated manner.

Engaging residents around Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs is a new and exciting pastime at SageLife communities. Designed to engage those with past STEM experience, the competition enabled residents to use their past knowledge to create something incredible.

Although each of SageLife’s communities participated and created impressive machines, Plush Mills, a SageLife community located in Springfield, PA, received first prize for their Rube Goldberg obstacle course.
